Electronic Devices

(Includes but not limited to Cell Phones, CD and MP3 Players, hand-held game devices, iPads, tablets, etc.)

• Electronic Items must be OFF and concealed between the hours of 7:45 am-3:00 pm (7:45 am - 2:00 pm on Wednesdays).
• Teachers may allow students to use an electronic device in their classroom for academic purpose.
• All electronic devices must be off.
• Photographing or taking a video of a fight or altercation with an electronic device will be considered an act of inciting and will result in an automatic 5-day out of school suspension.

• Electronic items that are seen, heard or used during school hours will be confiscated and returned based on the following guidelines:

  • 1^stOffense- returned to the student at the end of the school day

  • 2^ndOffense- returned to parent/guardian only

  • 3^rdOffense- loss of privilege- item not allowed on campus for the remainder of the school year

• Ridgewood Park ES nor any of its faculty or staff members will not be held liable or responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged electronic items.

The school Administration reserves the right to adjust or change any policy if an item is deemed inappropriate for the school environment.
